Hunter Pence and the Phillies agreed Friday to a $10.4M, one-year contract, according to an ESPN.com report on Friday. The deal was at the midpoint between the $11.8M he had asked for in arbitration last week and the $9M the Phillies had offered.

The Giants have reached agreement on a $1.25M, one-year contract with utility infielder Ryan Theriot to give them depth at shortstop and second base. San Francisco said Friday the deal is non-guaranteed and is pending a physical next week.

The Orioles have avoided arbitration with Robert Andino by agreeing to a one-year deal. Andino, 27, had his best season in 2011, playing the majority of his career-high 139 games at second base. He set career highs with 457 at-bats, 120 hits, 63 runs, five homers and 36 RBIs.
